Roles & Responsibilities
Job duties and responsibilities:
Quality Assurance: Ensuring products manufactured in accordance with company QMS system, and meet drawing requirement and specifications.
Quality Control Inspection: Prepare FAI report for new part. Performing thorough inspections of precision-engineered parts using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), and optical comparators to verify conformance to specifications.
Root Cause Analysis: Investigating the root causes of any deviations or non-conformances in precision-engineered parts and implementing corrective and preventive actions to address them. This may involve using tools such as fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys analysis, or Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Metrology and Measurement System Analysis (MSA): Conducting MSA studies to ensure the accuracy and reliability of measurement systems used in precision manufacturing processes.
Documentation and Documentation Control: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of quality control procedures, inspection results, and corrective actions taken. Ensuring that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
Supplier Quality Management: Collaborating with suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials, components, and subcontracted services used in precision engineering processes. Perform incoming inspection and verifying material certificate in conformity against customer/regulatory requirement.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant quality standards, regulations, and industry certifications specific to precision engineering, such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.
Customer Interaction: Engaging with customers to understand their specific requirements for precision-engineered components, addressing any quality concerns or inquiries, and providing assurance of product quality and reliability.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Quality Management.
Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in aerospace/manufacturing industry.
Proficient in understanding engineering drawings with sound knowledge of GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Knowledge and application of Quality Tools – SPC, PFMEA, related tools would be an added advantage.
Proficiency in written and oral communication.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Powerpoint, Word.
Team player with high level of commitment and strong responsibility.
