About The Role
As a Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of goods and/or passengers, maintaining vehicle condition, and delivering excellent customer service. This role requires punctuality, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Driving: Operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, following all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
- On-time Deliveries: Ensure timely pick-up and delivery of goods or passengers according to assigned schedules and routes.
- Vehicle Care: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, report defects, and perform basic checks such as fuel, oil, tyre pressure, and cleanliness.
- Documentation: Complete delivery notes, logs, mileage records, and other required documentation accurately and submit them on time.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and recipients, handle enquiries politely, and represent the company positively at all times.
- Load Handling: Safely load and unload cargo, secure items to prevent damage, and assist with minor manual handling duties as required.
- Compliance: Adhere to company health and safety policies, report incidents or accidents immediately, and participate in required training.
Experience Required:
- Valid Singapore driving licence appropriate to the vehicle class (e.g., Class 3, Class 4, or Class 3/4 depending on assignment).
- Proven driving experience with good safety and attendance record; previous delivery, passenger transport, or logistics experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Singapore roads, common routes, and basic navigation tools or GPS devices.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle checks and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to engage with customers and team members professionally.
- Physical ability to handle lifting and moving of cargo within company safety guidelines.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required.
Education/Qualification
- Minimum secondary education (Secondary 5 / GCE O-Levels) or equivalent.
- Any relevant certifications in defensive driving, logistics, or first aid will be a plus.
